I was just creating a post for IG based on Hebrews 10:23. The verse says —

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.”

I was thinking about the faithfulness of God and how, when God makes a commitment to us, we don’t have to worry that, for whatever reason, it might not happen. We don’t have to fear that  something/someone more important to Him, than us, will cause Him break His word, delay the answer or that He’ll change His mind. Nope. That’s not how our God operates. 

Then, my phone rang. A company that was supposed to send a repairman to my house this morning was called to say that they needed to reschedule the appointment. Something came up. I wanted to get angry but, because of the verse that was on my mind this morning, I stayed focused on the faithfulness of God and wasn’t bothered (not too much), by  the flakiness of the company. Then God brought this verse to mind:

“God is not human, that he should lie, not a human being that he should change his mind. Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” –Numbers 23:19 (NIV)

This is what we must remember. Men are human. God is GOD. He’s not a man. And because God is GOD, we can trust Him to keep every promise, stand by every word and be faithful to the very end.
