Why are you taking an opinion poll?
When will you start?
Who else’s approval matters?
Since God already said, “Yes” . . .
What’s delaying you, now?
Where is the action to match your faith?
How will you honor His permission?
Lots of questions here, right? But you’d be surprised by the number of people who say they’ve heard from God and then, fail to move or act on what He said. See, Faith has a power twin named works (or action). And, if you have faith but you don’t take action, your faith is dead and powerless. (James 2:14)
Here’s the truth: The enemy (Satan) doesn’t care how much or how often you hear from God as long as you don’t act on what He said.
There are 3 things you must know about faith:
- Faith COMES by hearing
- Faith is RELEASED by speaking
- Faith PROVEN by doing
James 1:22 says it this way, “Be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only deceiving your own selves”. It compares someone who hears the Word of God but doesn’t act on it to someone who looks at their face in a mirror and then forgets what they look like. The verse goes on to say that those who look into the perfect law of liberty and continue to do so will be blessed in their deeds.
So, if you want your deeds/actions/work to be blessed, you must:
- Hear the Word
- Do the Word
- Speak the Word
