Unless you’re careful and intentional about how you monitor your media intake, you’d probably hear this phrase dozens of times each week: Breaking News! Breaking News! Breaking News! When this world is constantly bombarding you with one crisis after another, wars and rumors of wars, economic concerns and tons of reasons for despair, anxiety and fear, it’s no coincidence. In the middle of all this chaos and confusion, do you know what you need to declare?

I AM NOT AFRAID! Say that with me: I AM NOT AFRAID.

I woke up with Isaiah 41:10 on my heart this morning.

Fear not, for I am with you. Be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yea, I will help you, yea, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

It’s because of God’s promise to us in Isaiah 41:10 we can boldly say: I AM NOT AFRAID. The thing that I love most about this verse is that, after God tells us not to fear He then gives us reasons why we don’t have to.

Fear not:

1.        I am with you. Matthew 28:20 – Genesis 28:15
2.        I am your God. Isaiah 46:4 – Revelation 21:7
3.        I will strengthen you. Philippians 4:13 – Psalm 27:1
4.        I will help you. Hebrews 13:6 – Psalm 46:1
5.        I will hold you up. Psalm 37:24/ Psalm 63:8

But what if you lose your job? I AM NOT AFRAID
The economy doesn’t look good right now. I AM NOT AFRAID
What about the stuff that’s going on with your children? I AM NOT AFRAID
What about what the doctor said? I AM NOT AFRAID

You cannot encounter a single circumstance that has the power to make God break His promise to you in Isaiah 41:10. And because of all this, let’s boldly declare: “I AM NOT AFRAID.”
