My daughter walked into my office chatting away when, suddenly, she stopped, in mid-sentence and just stared at me. I looked up from what I was doing. “What’s the matter?” I asked her.
Then, she pointed towards the picture of my mother that was hanging on the wall and said, “Wow! You really look like GrandMommy. I mean, you look JUST LIKE HER!”
I realized in that moment, my resemblance to my mom caught my daughter completely off guard. In fact, she was so taken aback, it stopped her in her tracks. Think about that.
Wouldn’t it be amazing if we looked so much like Jesus in the way we speak, the way we live and the way we love others that it stopped everyone in their tracks? I can just imagine them saying, “Wow! You look just like Jesus.”
“Therefore, be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma.” Ephesians 5:1
