What’s the vision, the dream, the life’s goal God has given you? Is it something that, unless your long-lost wealthy uncle shows up soon, you’re not sure how to finance it? Funny, isn’t it? God always has a way of asking us to do something that extends far beyond what, it seems, our current capacity can handle. He does this so that we depend, completely, on Him. And when we do, He always proves that He’s made . . . provision for your vision.

Is your goal so big, that thinking about it gives you butterflies? If your answer is “yes,” then your vision may be God-given. I say this because . . . God only gives big visions. Let me be clear, when I say big visions, don’t consider size only. I mean visions, dreams, goals for which ONLY HE can open doors, make ways and provide opportunity.

RELATED: RESIST THE DEVIL

He gave moses the vision of delivering the children of Israel out of bondage.
He gave 99-year-old, childless Abraham a vision to become the father of many nations.
He gave a young virgin, Mary, a vision that she would give birth to the Messiah. Do you see a pattern?
God will never give you a vision that you can make happen without his help. What happened in the cases of Moses, Abraham and Mary? God parted the Red Sea for Moses. He gave Abraham a son.
And Mary? She was still a virgin when she gave birth to Jesus!

Now, what does all this mean for you?
It means that when God gives you a vision, he also includes the resources necessary to make it happen. Those resources might include connections, support, information, finances, directions, miracles, insight . . . whatever you need.

WARNING: Circumstances will try to convince you that you don’t have what’s required to move forward with your vision. This is when most people give up. But NOT you!

When it looks as if you don’t have what you need, that’s the time for you to press in even more. Why? Because your resources will be discovered as you remain faithful to your calling. You will never fulfill your vision as you sit and do nothing. You’ll only discover your provision as you continue in your vision pursuit.

So, please, don’t allow a little adversity to stop you on your path to destiny.  As Theodore Roosevelt said, “Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.”

That’s good advice. But what Paul wrote in II Corinthians 12:9 (NIV) is even better. According to Paul, God said, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in your weakness.” So, what’s your “weakness,” as it applies to your vision? Think you don’t have the right connections? His grace is sufficient. Looking for additional information? His grace is sufficient. Need technical support? Or capital? His grace is sufficient! My friend, Whitney says it this way: “If it’s God’s will, then it’s God’s bill.”

As you pursue your calling, hold fast to God’s sufficient grace. It’s during your faithfulness to your God-given vision, that you’ll discover all the God-given provision, you’ll ever need.
