If This is For You, Take It.

This is not my normal format for a blogpost. But I am willing to post in the way I believe God is leading me. Sometimes, God will instruct us to do a familiar thing in an unfamiliar way to help us stay sharp in our ability to hear Him, clearly. This is one of those times. So, if this is for you, take it.

That job? It was temporary from the beginning. It wasn’t supposed to last forever. It has done what it was supposed to do. You’ve done all the growing you can do there. Now that it’s over, do this:  Stay in Praise-mode. It’s time for promotion. Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.“

That place where you live now, it’s not your “forever home.” God has more for you. He needs you to stretch. Be willing to be uncomfortable. Ask God,” Where is my “next” address?” Let him be your relocation specialist. It’s time to move. Proverbs 24:3-4 “By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.” 

That relationship is not over; it’s just being refined. Sometimes people must grow, away from each other, before they reunite…stronger. Sometimes God must deal with your brokenness in isolation. No audience. No cheerleaders. It’s time to heal. 2 Corinthians 12:9 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”

That project God has been speaking to you about?  Get it done. Perfection is not the goal, obedience is. Move forward. Move forward in prayer. Move forward in peace. Move forward in faith. Move forward in wisdom. It’s time to move forward. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new”. 

No matter what season we’re in or what we’re dealing with, we can rest in the truth that God knows the end from the beginning. He knew the outcome from the outset. He never changes and, most importantly, He always has a plan for our victory.
