Dear Young Mom,

You’re doing a great job.

In this season of pouring so much of yourself into others, remember that God is always willing, ready, and able to pour into you. Please, do not try to run on empty.

Let me encourage you to adhere to the following practices:

  • Speak to yourself with loving kindness … always.
  • Remind yourself that all mistakes are solvable.
  • Be gentle with your body. Your body is in an intense season of service, and it needs grace, sleep, support, and good-for-you food.
  • Remember that God’s grace is available in an unlimited supply. It never runs out. You can never ask for too much and its always there to fill in Life’s gaps.

So let me remind you again, Young Mom, you are doing a great job.

You are beautiful, resilient, and kind. You are compassionate, empathetic, and insightful. These years will impact the rest of your life and the lives of your children. You are establishing a foundation that will hold your children firmly, in the certainty of your love for them.

And, please, remember this: You are a mother but, you’re not just a mother. You’re not only a mother. As important as motherhood is, so too, is your sense of self.

YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. Nothing can change that and no one can take your place in God’s heart.

You are a woman, a daughter, you might be a spouse and/or sibling. You are not your career, or job, your business, or your ability to earn an income. The most important aspect of your identity is that YOU ARE A CHILD OF GOD. Nothing can change that and no one can take your place in God’s heart.

And because you are His child, God loves you. God sees you. God knows you and God values you. He still has a plan for your bright and beautiful future.

Save this letter and, on the tough days, read it again and again and again.

You’re amazing, Young Mom~Remember who you are and Keep the Faith, LifeSpeaker Mom!
