One word. Jesus spoke one word to Peter and the decision Peter made to obey, empowered him to defy the laws of gravity to walk on water. What’s the one word that Jesus is speaking to you? Is He saying, “Listen”, “Speak”, “Forgive”, “Grow”, “Build”, “Obey”? Is He  calling you to “Surrender”,  “Persist”, “Believe”? 

Jesus told Peter to, “Come.” Right there, in the middle of a storm, Peter was invited to leave the boat of his comfort zone and step into glorious uncertainty. Peter had his moments, still, his obedience to that one word, is a powerful example for all of us. His word was “come.” I don’t know what the one word is that Jesus is speaking to you, But, let me encourage you to do 3 things:

1. Obey immediately. 

2. Fix your eyes on Jesus.

3. Ask Jesus for help, if you get distracted.

See, God has a plan for all of us to walk on water … in some way.

All we have to do is, step out of the boat, and obey …. His ONE WORD.
